Thank you for giving me the opportunity to serve you as your Mayor over the past 11 years. It has been a privilege and an honour to do so. During my watch as Mayor many achievements have been reached. None of the successes would have happened without you and members of council.

Let’s recap the past 11 years:

Council has,

  • Successfully fought to keep the obstetrics department open at Georgetown Hospital
  • Successfully fought on behalf of Canadian Industries opposing Buy American protectionism – Saving 1000’s of Canadian jobs
  • Successfully fought along with the community the 4-3 (400 series highway) through Halton Hills
  • Successfully fought a Provincially driven idea to force sale/merger Halton Hills Hydro
  • Successfully advocated the return of the GO Train to Acton
  • Successfully convinced the Minister of Health to fund $2.68 million to Georgetown Hospital Expansion


Council has,

  • Supported many industrial expansions within Halton Hills.
  • Promoted the 401 Halton Hills Premier Gateway Corridor adding 2 million sq. feet of industrial and commercial to our tax base
  • Developed a Community Improvement Plan to support local retail businesses


Council has,

  • Created 22 km of trails and bridges
  • Installed 3 splash pads in our parks
  • Added additional Soccer fields and diamonds
  • Resolved the long outstanding ice shortage by increasing ice pads
  • Constructed a New library in Acton and renovated Georgetown Library, Art and Culture Centre
  • Added two Fire Halls to enhance fire protection for your families




  • 11 years experience as Mayor of Halton Hills.
    Chaired many critical committees.
  • Understands working relationship with Town, Region, Provincial and Federal levels of government.
  • A proven Leadership Track Record.
  • Struck a task force to develop a Town Green Plan.
  • Struck a task force to resolve ice rink shortages.
  • Executed “Vision Georgetown” committee to plan a community vision for future growth of Georgetown.
  • Successfully fought to keep our Halton Hills Hydro from a forced merger sale.
  • Successfully fought (along with citizens), the proposed Provincial 400 series highway (4-3) south of Georgetown.
  • Set up a sustainability committee to plan for our Town’s future generations.
