“I have known Rick Bonnette for many years. His experience and leadership abilities have proven him to be 'Our Best Choice' for Mayor.

He cares about his community and is not afraid to make tough decisions on issues that make Halton Hills a better place to live. He is the Mayor for all the people.”

Carol Lawson
Resident of Ward 2
“Rick has proven to be a decisive leader. He has won the respect and cooperation of Council in his first term as Mayor of Halton Hills. He has the courage to confront difficult issues and the determination to work tirelessly to resolve them for the good of the whole Town. This is no surprise to me for I served with Rick on Council for twelve years. I know his track record and I know of his dedication to the people of Halton Hills.”

Gerald Rennie
Served on Town Council for 12 years with Rick

“Mayor Rick Bonnette is one of the most energetic, thoughtful and pragmatic municipal leaders in Canada today. On the recent “Buy American” issue which threatened hundreds of jobs in Halton Hills and tens of thousands across Canada by restricting Canadian made products sold in America, Mayor Rick was the leading municipal voice drawing attention to the need for “fair and reciprocal trade” with our neighbours to the south. He played a invaluable “game changing” role by drawing international media attention to the issue, which ultimately led to the unprecedented “Canada-U.S. Trade Agreement” signed in February.

From all of us at IPEX who live in Halton Hills and surrounding area, we thank him for his Herculean efforts.”

Director, IPEX Management Inc.

"Mayor Bonnette did not hesitate to champion the cause of saving the MSB land. He knew from being a long term resident and local leader the history and current situation of the property and why it should not be sold. He was instrumental in rallying the community and he continues, with the support of his council colleagues, to demonstrate leadership on the issue."
